COI  has  over  the  years  provided  timely  help  in  natural  and  manmade disasters by providing the necessary  help to address the needs of the disaster victims. Local  volunteer  force  supervised  by  a  team deployed  by  COI  played an effective  role  in  the  fire  that  razed  several  slum  tenements  in  Delhi, the Kashmir Earthquake ( 2005) & the disaster in Kandhamal  District, Orissa caused by ethnic violence (2008).
